My daughter plays mine craft. She even watches videos of it. Am I the only person in the world that doesn't get the appeal? Does this make me old and lame?

My son as well.. Poor kid tried to get me to play. I was like, "I don't get it"

Yes, made me feel like I'd crossed over to "old" but I'm cool with everything else so I think we're safe

Nope don't it here either, our little lad plays it and when he's not playing it he watches videos of it on you tube, he has an xbox 360 with all these super graphics and 3d games and he plays a game that looks like it's straight out of the 80's

Miecraft is a bit like Garys Mod for Half life 2.

Though, Garys mod is more amusing.

Its hardly World of Warcraft, but it keeps the kids glued. Same reason other types of people play games like The Sims.

Some like to build a family with it, other people just want to see if they can start a fire for fun and watch them all panic, and speak silly talk while running around mindlesssly.

Good fun.

My son has set up his own server for mine craft and loves it he also plays garys mod as well anf tf2 which is tge the most noiest game ever

I miss GTA 1-2 where you would run over people just to get chased by the police.

teaches them to build things and some of the minecraft places that people make are pretty dam good

only thing I disagree with is getting them to spend proper £ so a free game doesn't end up free if they want the extras

my 7 year old son wants it for his birthday next week iv said no as it's so crap they have not even tried to make it a good looking game to play.

Not sure if I care... GTA seems more interesting although I really enjoyed saint's row the third. And then they seem to have gone OTT with the fourth one.

All 3 of my kids play it and love it. The demo version is free, the full game cost 1600 Xbox points. It's a small price to pay for peace lol

Having said that, I don't get the game either and even my little girl has been playing it for months - she is 5 in September - and I STILL don't have a clue how to do it
