Its not really necessary if someone doesn't mail you back you have your answer so don't let it frustrate you just message someone else.

No. Because in my own personal experience a "thanks but no thanks" reply too often gets a "oh but why not?" response. A no is a no, end of. Don't bloody ask why.

Yes I would and have done on other sites. Once that is sent no one can accuse you of lacking manners

I used to always answer any mail ,now I just delete most because if you say a polite no thanks most of the time it starts a back and forth of messages so if they read my profile they will see why I delete,so having a button wouldn't really help

I am not here to massage a man's insecurities or ego. He can do that himself.

Stop being so hung up on your sent box, trust me, you'll enjoy yourself far more if you just concentrate on your inbox.

it is mainly men how offend, but thats as much about the numbers I think. if I get a no thanks back and always send thanks for your polite reply have fun and leave it at that.

No I wouldn't because some messages don't deserve my thanks! If people can't be bothered to read my profile to see what I'm looking for or take into consideration where I live, why do I need to thank them for wasting my time?

If someone says "no thanks" I reply with "have fun" and leave it at that.

If someone deletes my message, I block to prevent any further contact between us.

Well no. If you only knew what the majority of messages are that us girls get you would understand why we don't bother.

I've stopped caring. I just kick myself for the time wasted on a message to them, block and move on. Simples!

I used to reply to all but I don't now as once you've replied they can bypass the filters, and thats more important to me being seen to be polite

People would then moan about getting a generic no thanks instead of a personal no thanks

Or they would message to ask if you made a mistake by sending it and did you really mean it

Some I ignore as they quite clearly haven't read ma profile

Some I give a sarcastic reply to

Some I just block

Some I have a laugh with

Sometimes I get a meet

A polite no thanks button is boring

"Is the second it takes to click a button to much to aks in this day and age?"

To quote Fabio who hit the nail on the head, your message is unsolicited mail exactly the same as the Pizza flyer that comes through your front door with the post.

Now IF you fancy a pizza and the flyer appeals to you you would contact the company and ask for a Pizza.

BUT If you don't fancy the Pizza do you contact them and say "no thanks"? even if they enclose a simple way for you to do so??

No reply = No Thanks, simple really.

Nope it's not needed.. I don't reply to all messages with a no thanks, only ones that have made an effort but I still ain't interested!

I do treat others as I would expect to be treated.

If I send a message and the other person is not interested, I don't want them to message back. I really do not see the slightest point in it.

I do not believe that people really do feel better if they receive a no rather than no message. They just want that person to message back. They can then reply to the no thanks by saying 'ok thank you, before I go though can I just say that in your photos you are beautiful, way more attractive than any woman on this site, in fact way better than any site in the whole history of swinging, to which a further reply of 'why thank you that is very kind' and so it goes on ........

Seriously a no reply is so obviously a no. Why are people so needy?

This and as I say on all of these, you don't reply to every piece of junk mail be it through your letter box or postbox so why on earth should you here

Brighton - even Hove!

I very rarely initiate messages but when I have don't hassle those who don't reply. If they were interested, they'd reply.

I never really understand that analogy. It's not the same.

It's more like someone having a big sign outside their house saying "I want ham & pineapple pizza" and big pics of themselves with ham in their mouth.

They can only really complain if someone turns up with a chicken pizza. If someone turns up with a ham and pineapple pizza that they don't like, surely they should say sorry but I don't fancy that one.... not just slam the door in their face?!?!?

"not just slam the door in their face?!?!? "
That would be more of a club scenario as there is personal interaction, rather than a flyer from every take away food joint in town, some of which also list ham and pineapple anyway that was yesterday, today I fancy fish and chips, or chicken chow mien

I reply to most messages where they've made an effort with 'Thanks for your interest but if you read our profile properly you'll understand why we're declining your offer - Happy swinging'

Some don't deserve a reply ... like the one we got recently which just said '7'. Not sure what it meant but it didn't get a response

Only if it was a 'no thanks' option with a block all further mail button.

That way there would be no questioning why not etc. but you could still see them in chat, and maybe unblock easily after a while, if you wish to give them a second chance, or block them fully if they get on your nerves.

We have found that a fair few messages we receive have not read profile and looked at pic's and chancing there luck so we don't reply if keep trying hit the block button.

Will always try to send a polite message back if they have taken the time to be polite.
