No, because that's the sort of event that leads to mass blindness and the plants to mutate and attack.

I've just had the gardens done so no danger of Triffids! Guess that means I'm safe to watch the light show later...

Will be watching tonight for certain. It is supposed to continue into tomorrow night as well. There are very few things we find more romantic than the stars. Astronomy was the most personally rewarding class I took in college, and I am not a math and science guy by any stretch.

carrbrook stalybridge

best way to view them is to get out in the country or away from light sources where it is realy dark your eyes will adjust and you will see not only the persiads better but the whole of the night sky

Well as I don't have a car I'll have to make do with standing in the playing field near me and hoping the Uni don't have their floodlights on. However York isn't the worst for light pollution, My daughter said Leicester is awful and she didn't see any last night.

Have you been?

You pay a ridiculous amount of money to get in and que for hours to see anything. Unless its quiet, in which case you can see everything in 15 minutes!

Well stood outside for an hour and only saw 4, so I think I was sold a pup there, but I couldn't stay up after midnight so probably missed the best time.

I did watch a fast jet doing night manoeuvres put its afterburner on, which was impressive.
