I hate that when you are in chat. They send you message then keep on typing in chat

"Hi _erendipity99 I sent you message did you get it?"

Or they send you one message then send another message with "I am not sure if you got my first message etc"

Only 2 things happen with email

1) The person you sent the email to gets it.

2) The emails you sent gets sent back to you with a message saying the email was unable to be delivered to the person you sent it to.

I've just had to block someone for constant messaging. He would message as soon as I logged on. I had four in the space of two hours yesterday, all unread

But I noticed this morning he was looking at my profile several times an hour which gave me the creeps so I've blocked!

I agree, and have even suggested to admin, that there should be a thanks but no thanks option for us to click when we receive a msg from someone not compatible to our wants. That way the person sending the msg would get the answer he/she/they didn't want but at lease an answer all the same
