.....on how to get blood out of a carpet?

I've tried every cleaning agent going but there's still a slight stain, any old wife's tale's worth trying out or does blood just not come out?

Milk is good for blood ......soak it a little and rinse very well.

lol nothing that exciting, my daughter cut her foot on a broken mirror

Thing is by the time I took her to the hospital and got home it had dried and don't seen to want to come out

mix some biologal washing powder to a paste and leave it to soak in or if you use the liquid type sperad a little of that on it, I'd recommend a test patch first though as it might take colour out.

Try any Ammonia based solution, it gets rid of the blood, but glows under UV light, so I've learnt watching CSI

you could try Hydrogen peroxide too , good at shiftin stains , great teeth whitener too used properly

In my job I get a lot of blood stains on my uniform, and a tip from an "old hand" has always worked - pour bitter lemon or sparkling white wine in the stain, then blot with kitchen towel. Blood has a high fat content dispersed by the acidity, and the bubbles lift it away from the fibre. Only a theory, of course, but it always seems to work.
