I'm planning a sheffield pub social and wanted opinions about the date: should I opt for November or January?

Is November already too busy with Christmas stuff or is January too far away and is everyone skint?

I'd be worried about snow in January making it difficult for people to get there.

It may also be that many people from here cannot make the event in October (or don't get an invite) and could make a public one in Sheffield.

But early November might be sufficiently far enough before Christmas so as not to worry the majority.

Btw it will be purely social, open to all - verified and unverified, singles and couples - and held in a city centre pub function room. So if club Socials are not your thing this may well be.

28th Oct to the following Monday but I can never be sure when my daughter will be going so its up in the air until a week before

I'm actually "toying" with the idea of trying Canada, Toronto out in 2014.

January, everyones usually had a skinful of parties by then.

November time is best cos everyones in the mood for parrrtying!
