after reading the thread about the snake, wondered if people would still meet others that kept a pet that you didn't like or were frightened of/gave you the creeps?

like some people really hate even the sight of snakes & spiders

yes, understand if not loose, but if my wife sees a snake in a vivarium, all locked in and cant get out, she would still run for the hills lol

Someone I knew a while back wouldn't come in my house as she knew I had snakes. Worked out well as it was the ex mother in law!! Hahahha...

I hate spiders but will happily look at them behind glass etc so no it wouldn't bother me as long as they weren't on the loose! X

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

I've read occasional profiles where folk are allergic to cats so no point in them coming to mine...I don't think I'd mind too much so long as the pet wasn't pushed onto me ("Go on, he's a big softie really" as the Komodo Dragon chomps on my leg)

in the night garden

There was this one time I went to meet a couple and they had a Grizzly Bear in their kitchen.

Or at least I thought it was as I ran out of the house screaming, but apparently it was the husband, he was just Greek.

Another time I met this very slim woman whom I mistook for a Praying Mantis and fled. Also another time... Oh I can't be arsed.

If I went to someone's house and noticed they had a snake if be out of there so quick. I can't stand them and don't like being anywhere near them even if in a locked tank.

On the rare occasion someone does come to my house I will check to see if they have a problem with cats - whether that be allergies or just a dislike of cats. If they do they are out of luck.

One of my cats is so fond of my partner that he is often difficult to remove from the bed when he is here! And has on more than one occasion got rather too close for comfort and been chucked out for being a total perv.

years ago i used to have a big piranha in a tank next to the couch(given to me in lieu of a debt)

A old gf swore that when I left the room it would swim up to her end of the tank and stare at her as if she was next on the menu.

She gave me the its the piranha or me ultimatum so it was bye bye gf

Once had a guy in all seriousness said he wanted to handcuff me naked to his bed and let his giant bird-eating spiders roam about on my body - needless to say didn't take him up on the offer lol In fact that was about ten years ago and the thought of it makes me still slightly freaked

Actually it would be a dealbreaker for me. I would not meet anyone who kept tarantulas, rats or snakes. I would leave a house if they were there.

I could not relax in a house if they had them.

It's not something I've ever asked though so it could happen. God it would be awful if it did
