Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

No, not made from Labradors but "artificial" burgers made in a lab.

The test taste is happening this lunchtime.

didn't look very appetizing this morning and cost is little hard to swallow at £250k. Protein through insects is the future (just glad its my kids future not mine)

we buy food that is genetically modified, long lasting, meat pumped full of antibiotics, intensely farmed crops, full of pesticides, but hey its cheap, and we actually pay to get cancer, bring it on!

There is a cure for cancer, but we wont be told, imagine the amount of tax the govt would lose if we didn't need medicines!

Although I’ve been a Veggie (not for moral reasons) since 1983 …… I’d still rather eat real meat than some lab-grown substitute packed with whatever concoction they introduce to give it the flavour and texture of the real thing…….

But as for it being a solution to help the worlds increasing food shortages,,,,

I look forward to seeing if it is a credible proposition, and I would happily support its production if it meant an end to the problems faced by those in the world who presently don’t have enough food to live healthy lives ..

Speaking as someone whose a veggie with no moral objection to those who choose eat meat…..

I wouldn’t be tempted to eat lab-meat just because it doesn’t involve the process of rearing animals that are then killed to become food….

I love the variety I already get in my veggie diet so I don’t feel I’m missing out by not eating meat of any kind ….

Thing is, the worlds population is growing at an unsustainable rate.

Basically, at the end of the day, unless alternatives are found, we are all going to starve.

So in essence, yes, of course I am going to eat it as long as it gives me the nutrition that I need to survive.

Quite honestly, we all would do the same, it's human instinct.

it is the progress we would need if we are ever to find a new home...Frankenstein science has for too long been used as a scapegoat about the problems we might face in the world when in fact its what HAS made the modern world.

if people are so against 'Frankenstein' science then they should tell those researching cancer to quit that

Um... in the UK we have the NHS which pays for the majority of the medicines

There is indeed many cures for Cancer, Chemo / Radiotherapy / Surgery, I personally have been cured twice now.

Well apart from the 300 they had to kill to get the stem cells to grow the artificial meat
