Meets using Who's Nrar

I like the idea of contacting someone nearby and arranging a spontaneous meet but I wonder if anyone has actually done it, or is it just a gimmick?

I've had many "I see you're near me" messages. Strangely though they always seem to arrive while i'm driving down a motorway for hours - thus meaning by the time I see them they're pointless!!

I'd possibly reply to a request for a social meet, a drink or a chat over coffee - but a last minute play meet would be rare for me to accept - and I'd suspect more so for single women and couples who are unlikely to be both together at the time!

No - generally we look to meet people for last minute meets who aren't too close.

Maybe we need a 'who's not that near but near enough' feature too..
