Do venomous posters on forums put you off? I realise it makes for interesting reading but I think it might drive some fabsters who can be interesting and courteous at the sane time away.... just my opinion

North of The Wall - youll need your vest

I dont have a problem with them (as long as what they post is within the rules - have to add that bit dont I? )

Makes it very easy to know who I want to avoid.

I have no time for venomous people and even less for those that hide their venom under a halo.

What people find interesting differs.

The forums change depending on who is in and who is absent.

Reading some folk can be like watching paint dry or pulling teeth.

I appreciate the various people , their responses and different moods.

All of them human.

Everybody has their own opinions on all topics. I find a heated debate quite fun,but i do respect anyone's right to an opinion wether i agree with it or not.Subjects i am not allowed to discuss when out with friends or at dinner parties are Religion,Politics,Immigration and the benefit system. Sports and sex it is then

I'm not sure what a venomous poster is? If I disagree with a view or don't like how something has been said I sometimes respond more strongly than I might otherwise - is that venomous?

It's a forum where people exchange views and discussions hidden behind a screen - I don't think anybody should ever get hung up on anything discussed in these forums.

It doesn't put me off posting in a thread if I have something I want to add to it.

It may well put me of the person(s) posting certain stuff

Annoy the hell out of me. As do the white knights and forum nice guys.

Give me someone that is happy to post their true opinions and doesn't feel the continued need to seek mass approval.

Everyone is entitled to post what they feel. Not everyone will agree with what you post..but your here to express your views.

..personally, im not too fussed about what others may think of me and my posts. Im not here to please them (well, not in that sense anyway).

They can always take the opportunity and get to know me to find out more about me. Theres always the opportunity to ignore those that arent really constructive in their posts.

I dont judge people based on their posts, and i dont expect to be judged on mine.

...but, thats just me - im happy go lucky

I wonder is sometimes some people mistake venom for strong opinions, and because they are the other side of that hthey take greater offence to it....

I rather see the real person, than someone who since on the fence because they think it makes them "look good"

Yes I certainly agree with this. People who suck up to the more stronger personality types or those constantly seeking approval and weak people really get on my tits.

I definately judge people based on their posts - I've blocked one or two who posted stuff I considered offensive or whose posts made me think they were arseholes. I'm fairly sure the same will have happened in reverse...

The flip side of the judgement coin is the lunatics I met last weekend at the Forum social - I'd already judged them as my sort of people, and I was correct in that judgement
