So whilst playing Mr Brightside earlier as it's great song, my wife suggested that the song was about a Cuckold situation, which I couldn't agree more with.

Sadly upon research it appears not.

Has anyone thought the same.

This just happens to be my all time favor it song.

I personally think its about the time when you have split up with someone and you find that she has met someone else and you haven't yet moved on, the thought of them together is keeping you awake at night as you just play the image of them together over and over again but not being able to admit it to friends.

That's just my opinion though

Now I love Mr brightside,and I don't see the cuckold situation at all.

I always thought it was about a recovering guy,regressing back to his paranoid personality disorder,which is once again about to ruin his life.

Although I haven't given it much thought lol

We saw Brandon flowers at the hopfarm festival in 2011. He was amazing.He did mr brightside then. What an afternoon in the sun that was??

We went to see them a couple of years ago at the NEC. Just a shame we had to buy tickets off ebay at twice the price. Worth every penny of course.

Haha just listened to it with lyrics. Does bit sound like cockold but think more just jealously of ex moving on
