Really depends on saving the follow-on. If England do then it'll be great to see some Aussie wickets falling today ....

They'll save the follow on, prior broad and swann have all got test match tons and bat at a fair pace when in, and can easily get 100 to the team total by lunch, and then set about them if it's over cast aswell it's going to move about for the quicks too, any pressure and the Aussies will collapse

if it is only a 159 lead... you may see the aussies try and smash 200 in the next 2 sessions... sooner they can get the lead to 300-350 ish, sooner they will declare and give they enough time to try and bowl england out

But the next two sessions takes the game to the end of today. If , as we're being led to believe, tomorrow is a write-off they would have no time to win the match.

It's going to be a fine balance as to what total they make and how confident they are with regard to bowling England out in the time that remains.

There not going to bat long after tea if at all, they need over 100 overs to bowl England out, 90 overs in a day unless they bowl spin both ends which might get them 100 in a day, so need to bowl at least 20 overs today, this afternoon session is going to be entertaining, lots of boundaries and lots of wickets, wouldn't be surprised to Australia happy to be all out for 140

My words, I've formed my own opinions over the years. Yes, any game that takes 5 days to play must, for the majority of it, be dull with occasional pockets of activity. It cannot be 5 days of constant activity. Even football matches can be boring and that only takes 90 minutes to play. This game is effectively lots of men stood in a field with their hands on their knees.

So you can take 25 days to play the bloody series but you can't take an extra day to factor in a tie breaker should it be a draw?? At best this game is just an eccentric quaint old tradition and not a sport. For God's sake you even stop the game for tea!

Dull as dishwater, and the retention of the ashes was done thus far by default due to rain.

How is that not the truth?
