Your commitment to green motoring in that fashion is commendable, even if your choice of car means you need a damn good drubbing. Personally I'd happily fit a big fuck off fuel cell to the mazda if they could make it viable. Instead I'll continue to kill us all in style.

The fiat coupe is a great car isn't it. Love the sound and power. 0-60 in just under 6 seconds. Can't see me ever getting rid of it. Had the body mods done too and de badged . No one ever knows what it is. I have had all sorts mentioned like Ferrari and tvr but they have no idea it's a fiat lol

A 55 plate Punto that was keyed in the first week of purchase and has repaid my abysmal care of it with reliability and cheap repairs.

I drive it like a 17 year old, empty it of crap when I nobody wants to get in, never clean it, expose it to three grandchildren and the bloody thing still keeps going.

I've said it out loud so watch this space.

boxter is a great great car but make sure you have read up on the engine failure recall that affected cars between a few years (firget which). Nothing you can do to prevent it but it will cost you a £5k rebuild. Not joking.

but they're not very environmentally friendly though, are they? that's the point most miss. It takes more energy, uses toxic metals like Cadmium in the bateries that will just get dumped when useless and the various car parts have been shipped around the world 6 times on huge oil-burning container ships at 6mph before they are finally assembled. If you buy a prius thinking you are saving the environment, you are wrong.

they're probably very nice cars inside though.

Yeah , but we were just having a bit of laugh,,,,

I'm not a fan of the Prius for many of the reasons you mention, but I would never knock anyone who chooses to buy one holding a genuine motive of doing it with good intention....

After-all, many of life more noble deeds require doing the wrong thing for the right reason so surely those kind of gestures should be applauded rather than condemned as futile...
