Somehow I am now seamlessly watching another

programme.

I have heard some rather far-fetched claims made to insurance companies for car crashes, such as the car that wasn't even on the road in the day in question being hit in exactly the same way it had been a few years earlier.

Any stories that you know of?

I used to be a fraud investigator for a car insurance firm and some of the attempts would make you laugh, some where harder to spot but fraudsters are usually daft and forget there stories

I once heard of a guy who reversed out of his driveway and into a bus. He claimed off the bus company for being 5mins early.

Have you any that you can share? Obviously, don't name anyone, the location or the vehicle but just the general story?

I did watch the programme and the scary thing for me is that burnhope is only 10 minutes away...... and my car insurance could have been a lot,lot higher than it is.....

Thy use postcodes so if your postcode is a nice area but the local dump has a similar postal code your premium will be rated the same as the dump

Not a crash story but a whiplash claim I heard about.

A woman claimed serious whiplash damage from watching Life of Pi in 3D at the cinema when she jumped in fright at the tiger on the screen.

dont we know it live in one of the only two postcodes (sk ) that the vauxhall owners clubs discount insurance will not quote for the other one (ol)is right next door all because a crash for cash ring operated localy and we are all still suffering for it three years on !

Sorry to say there is no way out if that but I know your problem, until the government crack down on the scummy claims management companies they will fish for work and help the fraudsters claim
