I started a thread a few months back about public loos cleaniness and privacy etc.There were many comments from concerned parents about their young kids using them for obvious reasons ,also comments how the parents were being to paranoid.Well for those who think the parents are paranoid read this

Bad things happen everywhere. Not read the article... But if you need the toilet when your out you don't really have much choice.

My kids tend to go together to the bathroom when out... But my 7 year old has someone with her. Not because I am worried about something happening but because she can't get in and out of bathrooms always.

There were government proposals to do away with local authority public toilets in favour of tax relief for shops and businesses to open theirs up for public use. They were criticised as uncaring yet this works very well in the US.

There is the added advantage of cleaner environments and protection of the vulnerable through CCTV.

Surely a better option to costly, poorly maintained, often vandalised places which may attract undesirables hanging around - whether they be sexual predators or drug users leaving dirty needles lying round.

If someone is paranoid about something bad happening, The low % of something actually happening is of no consequence

My opinion would no longer be objective and so it shouldn't be taken into account anyway.

I'd like to think I'd blame the person involved rather than massive knee jerk reactions that call for banning this and that like the usual media hype.
