"So been on the site a bit and having a blast meeting people. Been talking with a couple on the site and even talked over the phone. They seemed pretty cool and I thought in time we would meet up and have fun. The guy did most of the talking and we got along good said he was a gamer like me and we had some things in common. Girl was cool too very open and friendly. I havent been on much in a couple days and was going through some drama with my ex. They message me today after I made my status of: Watching Jack Reacher pretty good so far. They send me a message that says: What are you gonna do? I reply: What do you mean? With my ex? They say: No are you gonna watch? (Now remember I said I was watching a movie.). Then they send: Are you there? Now when I checked the last two from them it had been 15 min. I try to responf with watch what and theyve blocked me!! Is it me and Im an ass or are they just bi-polar? Is this common here? " what on earth would make you think they are bi polar. Do you actually have any idea what bi polar is?

"Bipolar disorder, also known as bipolar affective disorder, manic-depressive disorder, or manic depression, is a mental illness classified by psychiatrists as a mood disorder. Individuals with bipolar disorder experience episodes of a frenzied mood known as mania alternating with episodes of depression. Mania can occur with different levels of severity. At milder levels of mania, or "hypomania", individuals appear energetic, excitable, and may in fact be highly productive. As mania becomes more severe, individuals begin to behave erratically and impulsively, often making poor decisions due to unrealistic ideas about the future, and may have great difficulty with sleep. At the most severe level, individuals can experience very distorted beliefs about the world known as psychosis. Individuals who experience manic episodes also commonly experience depressive episodes; some experience a mixed state in which features of both mania and depression are present at the same time. Manic and depressive episodes last from a few days to several months. So again how is this not bi-polar? Even still I said way up in the thread its just the word i used maybe next time Ill say mood swing " its nor a word though, your diagnosing them with a severe mental illness. It may just be a word to you but not too people diagnosed

"Well we don,t know their personal situation, they could have faced mental illness issues or still be. It could also be someone close to them or just having empathy for those that are bi polar. It's not nice, God only knows Juice and have been through more than our fare share of shit (YES even to the point of wondering if we were ourselves) Probably best we leave it there or we'll get attacked. Not like i,m in the slightest bit arsed it's just easier all around and we don,t come on here for constant bickering. The fact is though you were quick to jump to that conclusion because you may quite rightly have been pissed off by how the situation panned out. Hope you enjoy the site fella, no doubt see you around the forums. Good luck, have fun and stay safe." Agreed I didnt mean to stir up shit. Again people sorry if I offended you. Im gonna stop digging my hole and leave this alone.

No wonder there is still stigma attached to mental illnesses when people make such ridiculous statements like you!

"I think people are focusing too much on the bi-polar thing. I get that he was using it to describe the apparent and sudden change in attitude, and not actually make a medical diagnosis! So if everyone would give the guy a break and stop leaping to take offence then that could be more helpful. Now I reckon your well out of it. They were just on a power trip and had a fit when you weren't available the minute they wanted you. Clearly they have no idea of how to communicate that they wanted you to come round, and instead decided to let you find out by using the force. Learn from it and move on. " I understand that he was perplexed and doesn't understand why they behaved in such a manner, but imo it gives no right to medicalise or assume that therefore means they have a mental illness or their behaviour is akin to one.
