Inspired by the "Warning to Kent" thread and assuming you're happy living in your current County....where would you live as an alternative?

For me it would be Dorset.. I love the coastline and villages and of course Bournemouth.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Oh my, there's so many lovely places to live in the UK. If I had to choose one it would be Cumbria, but there are several that would be close runners-up.

Good choices.. I might add that Cornwall and Norfolk would be other choices....as long as it's by the sea.

I like Norfolk but, like York, it's flat! I'd like to look at mountains for a change.

Got a sister living in York....loves it there but recently made redundant from Defra and I know she's been headhunted from New Zealand.

It's nice up on Lincolnshire and you get alot of property for your money as well. Perfect county to retire in.

Now that's a trade I could live with. I wonder if they'd headhunt me now the MoD are not needing my services for much longer.

Don't believe her, all I will say is Christmas dinner, the demands she made and didn't bring strudel or wash up and expected the ironing doing. Oh and she came in October for Christmas day

Torquay

Not a county as such, but the only other place I would live in the UK is London.
