Round the corner

If i could live anywhere. I'd love to live close to the sea and go to sleep and wake up to the sound of waves crashing on rocks ....minus the seagulls though

Kent

Yeah the seagulls round here wake me up at about 4 every morning making a right bloody racket! Then my lad wakes me up at 5. Summer is exhausting. Lol.

Rotherham is lovely! I've got family there x

When the traffic is not whizzing along the coast road I can hear the sea from my home and sometimes I can hear seagulls shitting on my patio….

Don't do it on the east coast or you'll end up with your house in the sea eventually.

In Your Bush

I'd like to live by the seaside. I would hang my socks on someone else's house to lure the seagulls there though.

Contrary to popular belief many gulls aren't ocean going birds and can be found inland over wasteland (insert name of place you wish to make derogatory remark about ).

The two great levellers in life...the ocean & mountains

Geeky input finished.

But not on the north sea as you can't really enjoy the sea side due to the usually rather poor climatic conditions (in other words, the weather sucks and the water is freezing).

If you really want to enjoy life by the sea you need to move a lot further south, The Med and beyond...

Southwick

Great living by the sea (a mile away but visible from my street) as well as on the edge of the South Downs....best of both worlds.

Seagulls are great...when the chicks were getting ready to fly the adults would swoop over me continuously squawking.

We live next to the sea and 10 mins from the Lincs Wolds.

The gulls here aren't too bad at all, not like the buggers in Scarborough etc.

Ours are the small black headed ones, quite pretty really.

It's nice lying in bed some nights listening to the wading birds and the ships.

Plus, there's usually something going on across on the seafront.

"When the traffic is not whizzing along the coast road I can hear the sea from my home and sometimes I can hear seagulls shitting on my patio…. "

Is it like the sweet pitter patter of summer rain?
