Just a reminder that Thursday is Yorkshire Day (1st Aug)

So don't forget to wear your white rose and feed mushy peas to your whippet.

Didn't you lose the war of the roses? I would only wear a white rose when trying to seduce a lady. Up the crack of my bum cheek with thorns removed so it doesn't scratch.

Sorry I hate Yorkshire. I lived there of a year. It sucked big time. So I won't be flashing a rose unless someone wants to buy them for me? I won't say no.

Leyburn

A Jew, a Hindu and a Yorkshireman were in a small town looking for accommodation. They all arrived at the same time at a hotel, only to be told there were no rooms available.

They all explained to the hotel receptionist that it was very late and there was nowhere else for them. The receptionist told them that the only thing they had available was a room above the barn, but the bed was only a double and one of the three guys would have to sleep in the barn itself.

They had no other option available but to accept this offer. The Jew, being a kind man told the Hindu and Yorkshireman that he would sleep in the barn and they could have the comfy bed for the night. Off he went, and just as the Hindu and the Yorkshireman were settling down in the bed, there was a knock on the door. It was the Jew who told them he could not possibly sleep in the barn as there was a pig in the barn and it is against his religion to be with such an animal.

The Hindu said that he totally understood and offered to take his place in the barn for the night. Just as the Jew and the Yorkshireman were settling down there was another knock on their door. It was the Hindu who informed them that there was a cow in the barn and it too was against his religion to sleep in the same room as this animal.

The Yorkshireman had no alternative but to offer the sleep in the barn for the night. Just as the Jew and the Hindu were settling down, there was a knock on the door................it was the Pig and the Cow!!!!!

London would have a 'London month' to signify how much more important than the rest of the country it is and has been
