Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

My mam drove her car over a bottle this morning on her way to paper shop. Tyre blew, car span off into another car and ended up across middle of the Main Street of Arse End. Fortunately, it was early morning, the airbag deployed, mam is a bit bruised and according to paramedics her BP was up. Three out of four of us kids were away for the weekend but fortunately Number 2 daughter was still in town (preparing for her grand child's christening day!)

Paper shop rang my sister and called ambulance, sister, grandson and son in law managed to wrestle the car to the side of the road and it'll get lifted away tomorrow. Main thing is Mam's alright, will pop and see her tomorrow after work as by time I found out, she'd gone to bed.

Have just had FB message from paper shop owner to see how mam is...this is when I love living in small town as when crap like this happens, everyone looks out for each other

Glad to hear your Mum is okay, and at least she was going fairly slowly when the blow out happened. The alternative doesn't bear thinking about...

Sure you won' let her dwell on it for long..

Bridgwater - Somerset

Hope your mum makes a full recovery, and it does not put her off driving - I should imagine public transport in Arse End is not as good as community spirit.
