Leeds

Used to win all running events in school...short and long distance. Went to an athletics club and they were all just interested in their split times....I just wanted to run for the fun of it so quit.

A few years ago my dad told me that Wrexham approached my parents about me playing football for them. I was 11 and it would mean me moving to Wales in the week for training and schooling. My mum refused so I never even got told about it.

I play at a good standard in badminton and squash.

I'm still holding on to my ambition to compete in the Olympics

Quite proud of all my finishes in the 3 Peaks Cyclo-Cross in Yorkshire.

My half marathon PB less than 3 months after being discharged from hospital with a heart scare and the instruction of 2 weeks total rest was very satisfying as I ran it more on determination than fitness.
