I may say good morning back - but if they're a total stranger the likelihood would be I'd carry on, ignore them and wouldn't give them a second thought for the rest of my days!!

It's what happens in life - why should it be any different on here?

If someones says good mornning in person then I'll always reply. (and I'm not even a morning person!)

On here in a message then unless we already know them, it would be unlikely. Same as the how are you messages.

In person i would be polite and say good morning as it would not take up any of my time...im walking past them anyway.

On here i don't reply to every good morning as it would take up my time and prefer to reply to the thought out messages
