evesham

Went to the diabetic nurse today to see ify pleading for a 3 month trial of diet, exercise ans taking my meds would prevent me from going on insulin.

My average blood sugar was 9.6 when they suggested going on insulin 3 months ago. Today it is 7.1, within range and no threat of insulin!!! I am over the moon!!!

I am going to keep working on it and hopefully they can look at reducing or even taking me off my meds completely

there is a course that they run for a week round here at the hospitals where they go over everything with your diet and help determine what times your meals should be. may be worth asking about it if you havent done it

Brilliant. If more people managed their sugar levels like this it would make a huge impact on the health stats for the whole country. Well done for doing your bit and looking after yourself.

Well done....what is particularly good is about it is that most people that get the borderline warning do not manage to change their diet and lifestyle sufficiently to orchestrate real change in their direction.

You have managed it and that is of great credit to you, it takes an awful lot of willpower to do so.

Whoop whoop!

Well done Evie.

My bessie mate has type 1 and would love to be able to do what you have done. Instead she has failing kidneys, circulation issues, severe pains in her legs and eyesight issues. It's no little feat and you should be proud of yourself and enjoy your health.

Well done Evie! As someone who had to reduce chlesterol from a dart score and stop eating all the food that I loved that was doing me harm I know what you`re going through! Hope you continue to go in the right direction.
