To many to mention, my mum made our clothes when we where little and for some reason the dresses where all only just long enough to cover our knickers, with my little chubby legs sticking out the bottom. I also had one of those zip up cardigans and pinefores with puff sleeves below

Remember having a woollen Arran cardigan and a black elasticated dickie-bow to go with my scruffy hair when I made my first holy communion, aged about 9. Dodgy pic

I bought an outfit for a special occasion, it cost a lot of money. It was a skirt and blouse that you wore a belt around. It was bottle green made of shiny material

What a night that was!! I was about 17.

My biggest fashion disaster was when I was about 15.... For xmas one year my mum bought me a black satin mini skirt (very mini!!) And a leopard print crop top.... I decided that lime green tights would look excellent with this outfit!!! Now I look back and think there was something wrong with me!!!

Bubble permed big hair and white stilettos. It was the 80s - the decade which style forgot!

My mother has a large school photo of me at junior school (around 1977) with a pudding basin haircut and dressed in a white frilled shirt with navy/white checkered waist coat. Lovely with my freckles!

I remember the school "nurse" Mrs Mead combing everyones hair with the same comb and her licking a tissue to rub our faces before the official photo's were taken.. How I never got nits is a mystery..

With that haircut they were probably too embarrassed to be seen in it

My grandma, God bless her, would sew clothes for my sister and i and since she made them my parents would make us wear them for school pictures so she could see us wearing them. She made a dress out of this horrible large jungle print fabric I had to wear and i had a bob haircut. My poor sister had to wear a tiny pink pant suit and she had this little afro lol. We were only about 6 and 8. We looked like tiny grannys
