That really gets on my tits! Why do people need to shout down the phone?

I always feel awkward when I take a call in public, and not just because I have "I'm sexy and I know it" as one of my ring tones

I don't know about everyone else but I go quieter, almost paranoid about people listening, but the other day I was on the phone trying to explain what something looked like and realised u was using hand gestures, asif they could see me....or is that just me?
