NO THANK YOU

Why can us couples not say a polite no thank you to single guys without them asking why or hurling abuse

Might have to stop the polite replies or just simply ignore and that's not normally what I like to do

Does anyone else have this problem

But this is only said when you decline to chat / meet them ?? No doubt they are super keen to meet you right up until you reject them. I've had that a couple if times. We are "fatties" apparently ..

If people are abusive - report them.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I should be grateful for any offers at my age and size and stop being so fussy.

I have taken the no response and delete option now just so that I can add rude to the above labels.

Just block them and move on.

As a male in a couple, it has been a real eye opener to see how moronic some men can be. We limit our search to men 35+ and have generally found them to be more respectful.

You know, sometimes us Single Guys get abuse too - especially when we dare to refuse the advances of a couple or female!

I've had abuse once because I actually logged off the site to go and get on with real life and didn't message back for several hours!

Its a universal truth that anyone has the god-given right to act like an asshat!

It's the reason why I rarely reply with a no thanks. Normally just delete unless it's a really nice and well written message. In which case I say thanks but you're not for me

I do have a warning on my profile about the bitchy side of my nature (ffs it's there in my user name!) but it's amazing how many don't bother to read so I feel free to slap them down with impunity

I often hear guys don't take no very well ,, but just have to accept the fact we all like different things ... I am bald so some girls don't like that .. also swingers are normally 40's age wise but the ladies want young bucks ... if you dont get a reply or a polite no then take it on the chin and keep trying else where .. you eventually meet some one and have a good time ... believe me ..

there is this.....

but i think by replying to some people in general they see it as opening a dialouge, when the person sending it sees it as closing one...

beside, call me a hard hearted arse, but i think there are too many sensitive souls who need a no thank you......

if someone is not interested not getting back is normally as good a sign as any... if people are interested they get back (my inbox is busy because i am guilty of not always keeping up with it, but even i get back to those who raise my eyes eventually)

its not just a single man issue, like toon said, i have had some pretty stroopy replies from couples who believe they are doing me some sort of favour by meeting me....

No, as when visible my profile clearly states the type of man I'm looking for. I also let it be known I will not respond to anyone outwith my criteria: and I don't.

Personally I find threads like these irksome as it's within our control who we respond to. If answering people we have no intention of meeting spoils your enjoyment of the site you know what to do!

In almost 2 years, one slightly arsey message after I relaxed my numpty filters cos I thought him good looking (shallow??? Moi???) Not really. We've only had this happen twice in the last year. Some guys send back a polite 'thanks for replying, and good luck' message and, a couple of times, just having the manners to do that has made us (or Ruby) look at them again. But, there is a 'way' of saying No thanks.... and there is a way of not saying it.

Not suggesting you are doing the latter, but if you are getting abusive responses a lot of the time, maybe the 'No thanks' needs looking at..?? Just a thought..

If, and admittedly it's quite rare, I get a no thank you as opposed to no reply at all (not so rare). I will reply thanking them for taking the time to reply and generally add 'have fun' to the end. Manners cost nothing. We could meet at a club etc and if recognised at least you could be sociable if it were to happen.

If you get abusive messages from someone you have rejected it just goes to show that you have probably made a good decision in rejecting them in the first place so should probably take it as a compliment of your decision making capabilities.

But mostly I get the but whyyyyyyyyyy, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, and begging mail "

This is what I have had. Along with the old fat munter comment (I think that only happened once, and that was due to me trying to be a smart arse ).

When I was meeting, 90% of the time I'd reply with a "No thanks, good luck" etc. But I did say early on in my profile that if they had "Won't meet smokers" I would automatically delete it. Naff all to do with ego!

I think a lot check out the senders profile before even opening the message. I know I did.

anyone that replies in a less than respectful way to a " no thanks " ought to take a long hard look at themselves.

My tack is always to express gartitude for any reply even if it is not the reply I would like, at the end of the day it is good manners and the least anyone can do.

Spot on .. we are not exactly talking about a walk in the park ..

this is all about the fabulous ladies on this site occasionally letting us in there knickers ... and life would be really crap if they didn't ... respect at all times ... site should suspend account persons for any insulting behaviour ..
