You get in touch with people, and chat.

And chat. And chat. You invite them.

Nothing. You make sure they understand you want to meet them. More chatting. I understand the NSA philosophy, and agree that's how it should be. But how long is a piece of string? How to verify the suspicion that you are wasting your time? There may well be very legitimate reasons for the delay in meeting. I don't want to weigh in heavily, and ruin things in the process, but I sometimes feel I am being toyed with.

Any thoughts?

But how long is a piece of string?

Twice as long as it is from the middle to one end

In Your Bush

Have you asked them directly? As in "I would like to meet you, would you like to meet me?"

If they say yes. You then reply, "give me a date then you squirmy little fucka "

Well, Ill give you the same advice these forums give single men.

It take patience and time - no point being pushy.

I somehow do not feel such would be conducive to a satisfactory reply.

So - time wasting is indeed a matter of perception.

Pushy guys get nowhere on this site... Either ask outright or just sit and wait, the choice is yours!?

Yes it is, I have been called a time waster cos I wouldn't meet straight away, I think some people forget that people have jobs and vanilla friends that you also have to meet. For instance at the minute for me my next new meet would be two weeks due to job and meets already arranged

I'd have thought that three months is quite respectable. That said - I sometimes read on profiles about folk meeting after a much longer period of writing. Why would that be, if both parties are in agreement?

I'm still learning.
