Not very often I post these days, but felt compelled to do so right now.

If you missed it, I urge you to try and catch the BBC4 production of what was in my humble opinion a truly outstanding piece of drama.

Anyone else think this was worth a look?

Watched them in 'Cat on a hot tin roof' - that's enough drama from them for me ta

Hated 'em for it. Vile & nasty production. Sorry but it's a public forum not a monologue.

Peter Taylor's first management position was at non-league Burton Albion from 1962 to 1965.

He left in 1966 when he'd drank the town dry

We've recorded it. In the few books I have read that mentions Taylor, they always say what a selfish, nasty bitch she was.

Although I'd agree she was a very beautiful women I’m not a fan of Elizabeth Taylor, but obviously there was something about her that Burton found beguiling, although apparently at times he was drinking ‘two and a half bottles’ of hard liquor a day,,,,,,,,

How can anyone even function with that much alcohol in his or her system?

What a voice though....

Spot on..the only possible connection with Burton was Williams adding a Dylan Thomas poem 'Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night' as an epigram in a stage version...Great film..Great play.

Sky++ Burton/Taylor stuff will watch asap
