ok so this is a bit random. I'm going on a family holiday near western super mare early next month and besides cheddar gorge and hugely over priced longleat which I'll be missing this time, could people give me some ideas of family friendly activities to do in the area? We're going in the car so can travel a little. I'd really appreciate any suggestions

Bristol is a great place to visit. They have lots to do, the zoo and waterfront are good. The bridge is a must see. And the open top bus is good.

There is the raf museum and there are some lovely national trust buildings around there. Dunster is lovely... Nunney castle too...

I think to be fair there are so many places down there 2 weeks isn't enough.

I think Crealy might be a little bit too old, however they do have a petting farm area and indoor playzones etc.. still you know the childrens limits so might be worth checking out the website

Devon has a website where you type into google 'daysoutwiththekids' and it gives a great list of activities.. somerset might come up with a similar thing

If you go on the pier. They have various of stuff in their. One or two rides and many more things. Can't quite remember as I was d*unk at the time, lol. Also if you go to the Yates pub and there is a girl working there with long blonde hair, she's the more friendlier one, with a great smile. So you know her f you saw her, lol. Get her on here as she's fit, lol.

Brean leisure park (you don't have to stay at the parks to get in!) - also have several other places around there (e.g The Seagull) that do things in the daytimes/evenings for both kids and adults

Animal park (brean/berrow)

Weston Pier

Puxton park

Bristol Zoo

Cheddar Gorge

Wookey Hole

- some of the bigger ones!

not sure what you like doing so best bet is to Google!

Well can always do both. Basically get us 3 involved .

The lions played the barbarians and she was the one who changed the channel for me and my mates. So she can't be that hard to find, lol

Falkirk

If you fancy a day out to south Devon but don't fancy crealy, head towards Dartmouth for the steam railway or there are some great beaches to explore around exmouth or dawlish.

You also have dartmoor which is a great place to explore, great for kite flying and of course dartmoor ponies.

If you head into Exeter and go to the quayside, there is a boat which takes you up to the pub at double locks I think it's called - they do good food at reasonable prices and its a nice trip up and back on the boat for the kids

Or you could explore the north Devon coast as there are some great places there too

(Can you tell my family are from the West Country? Lol)

If you head to yeovilton you also have the motor museum at sparkford too.

If you are that way and fancy some cider google perrys cider mills as try aren't that far from Yeovil and have great cider

Hope you've had some good suggestions from everyone - have a nice holiday

If you're going with any boys/men who love sport. Take them to Yates as they are the best in the area for supplying good meals/beverages and have plenty of Tv screens too, including a big one and whilst your there you can do me a favour, lol.
