Heart Stopping Moment

Blake has got out of the garden this morning. Cue complete panic here at Casa Del Ruby. After walking around outside in something resembling pyjamas my neighbours came out to help. He hadn't gone very far, but it was far enough for me to have a heart stopping moment.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Now he'll be enjoying the fuss so he'll want to do it again to please mummy.

We used to have a Houdini dog. She managed to escape every method of containment, except a completely locked house. She came home knocked up and became a derelict single mother who resented her children. We had to put them in care.

Oh he's quite oblivious to the fact he caused such panic.

Luckily his gonads had been removed before he came to live with me. He is my child replacement, I have no desires to be a grandma!

Oh no that is scary. My dog is 13 so shes an old girl. She managed to get out of the fence at the top where there are trees, so I didnt know that she'd dug a hole there. Luckily she just went into next doors and went to lie in their kitchen.

At least he's back safe and sound

I have to say he's quiet now! I'm off out this afternoon so he's going to Mum's.

I've got a fence that needs raising, but he's not got out for about 4 months. I wouldn't mind, but we had not long got in from a walk. I'd be devastated if I lost him!

Bedworth

Thank goodness he's home safe

When Oscar did his houdini trick we weren't so lucky. He got hit by a car and broke his leg in two places. Cue surgery and one very worried doggy mummy. Thankfully all healed well

Yes I have to say there was an awful moment when I had visions of him being run over. Glad your Houdini pooch is ok

What breed of dog is he Ruby? If he has now got over the fence then he may remember doing it and try again when he fancies adventure.

He's a mutt! Half Alsatian. I'm going to have to get some chicken wire up so he cant get out again. He has been banned from adventures!

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

My niece's Boxer, Axel is an escape artiste extra-ordinaire...cable ties on cage, closed doors and a back wall built up so far it can be seen from the Mir Spacestation and still he manages somehow to get out...often see folk posting on FB that they've seen a brindle boxer wandering about and wonder if it's hers. He's been castrated too and it didn't make any difference
