you cant be sure it's a he from 3 monthsa old..

thought had a male.. turned out females after a trip to the vets and was egg bound.

couple of expensive injections later (hormones?) she laid over 40 eggs in the nest box we provided..

only once she has laid - they normally injest them - so if it goes off food for a couple of weeks, you may know why

Get this book.. Green Iguana (the ultimate owners manual) its huge like the bible.. but worth every penny!

Yep dont put your face too close.. if that mouth and those teeth get your nose you will be scared for life..

my son had a 4ft one called trollop .. was a moody git .. but not as bad as the albino python called shitface .. so glad he got rid of them .. enjoy.. ( bearded dragons are nicer,)

funnist thing ever.. stick it in the bath and watch it swim.. (not too warm thou).

dont fed it spinach - it binds calcium and it need calcium for bone structure. Make sure it has a uva/b lamp and adequate heating lamps as it cant digest food unless it's warm enough - dont use hot rocks.

make sure the lights are out of it's reach too - they love to sit on them - but they end up getting burnt.
