Over the rainbow, under the bridge

To help us all cope with this unseasonably hot weather (well, it is a BRITISH summer!) how about some tips for keeping cool?

Put your pillow in the fridge before you go to bed.

Use a fine mist water spray over your bedsheets - and then turn on a fan.

Any more?

I've tried that - the bugger slips around in the condom too much.

Although I have an airconditioning unit I dont use it that much as it tends to make the room very cold.

I actually find wearing a wet T shirt or strappy top keeps me just a cool.

Brighton - even Hove!

Keep windows closed. It keeps the hot air out. Also have a bath and let the water evaporate off you

I find, because of the position of my house, it is actually cooler if I open up the kitchen (I have 7 foot bifolds) and the front door, creates a lovely breeze and keeps me cool as my house is open plan.

Stand a large bottle of frozen water in front of your fan and it makes the air cool .. Put it on a towel though as it melts it will leave a small puddle

Conveniently position your arse crack over a ventilator shaft is pretty damn good.

Nice cool bath before bed, dry off naturally under the overhead fan and naked sleeping

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I use the ice blocks that go in the cool bag to help keep the bed cool.

The advice in the Guardian today was to wear something cotton or silk as that will keep you cooler than being naked, run your wrists and feet under cold water before bed and if you wake up hot in the night run your hands and wrists under cold water again.

Put your bed under the window and leave it open all day. Put something around your pillow so it doesn't get wet and put it in a chest freezer. Sleep in your boxers and if your legs are long enough once you have moved your bed, put them through the window you have left open. Plus have a big bottle of an ice cold drink always helps. So much effort to do though. I keep forgetting

I couldn't move my bed it's too heavy and I've a drawer unit under the window.

Ice blocks are a good idea. Got some of those.

I've put a little ice block into my hair bun at the nape of my neck. I will have to take it out soon but it's working well for working at home.

Just off to the supermarket and think I might just browse longer than usual in the chill section.
