...when they are knocked of their bike at a virtual standstill in London and face surgery for a rare and complex arm/elbow fracture that may have a lifelong effect, they are still your babies.

My little boy, who is not so little anymore and is a confident, competent and safe cyclist, faces hours of surgery and potentially years of rehab

Very hard hearing him scream.

oh hun not good but hope and wish you both well in the future hope his recovery passes as quick as poss its hard at time but keep trying and supporting as only a mum can

this male had a crash 20 yrs ago 2.5 yrs recovery but ade it through

good luck our hopes and thoughts are with you both xxx

Thanks all. I'm now tucked up in his flat, trying to sleep but it must be about 30 degrees in his bedroom.

Tomorrow I'll do what mummies do best and clean.

I hope all you cyclists protect yourselves and stay safe.
