What superstitions/ocd rituals are a daily part of your life ?

I like my towels neat and straight and for some reason have to count to twenty four when rinsing my tootbrush under the tap before completion.

That is 24 carat ocd and Lord knows why I do it ?

My clothes have a certain order in the wardrobe..

I always put my left shoe on first.

I will never pick up a knife or glove myself if I drop it. (Have lost many gloves when out alone)

At work I have to put all the tartans in alphabetical order and it gives me a trance like feel doing it and a lovely sense of calm afterwards.

I clean my teeth twice a day in the belief they'll fall out if I don't.

Always secure the roman blinds in a figure of eight eight times. My daughters don't so I redo them.

The cushions have to be in a certain order and I've learnt to control my breathing and not go for the jugular if someone moves or sits on them.

The kitchen towels have to be folded a certain way on the cooker handle.

My cleaning ritual is done in a certain order and I never deviate from it: kitchen, dining room, lounge, downstairs loo, bathroom, en-suite, my bedroom. Hoover bottom to top. Mop bottom to top. Shower, coffee!

I need to get a grip!

I did have socks with the seven days of the week written on them. I couldn't wear the wrong socks on the wrong day.

My clothes hang in a certain order in my wardrobe.

My socks have to be folded in a certain way.

I cannot leave the house without making my bed.

I can't get up until I have pressed the snooze button 3 times.

Things in the fridge have to live in a certain place on the shelf/in the door.

I don't like ANYTHING out of place in the kitchen. I am weird about the kitchen. Not so much about other rooms stangely enough.
