What do we make of this report? It is close to my heart as I know quite a few of them.

Torquay

It is a real tragedy, it made me very sad to see this on the news.

Brecon has claimed a few lives over the years with military personnel.

Rest in peace lads

RIP soldiers.

From what I have heard it was possibily due to heat exhaustion and dehydration.

2 dead and one critical! Heat exhaustion played a part in this.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Arse. It's bad enough they're dying in the Middle East, but over here? It's going to be a bit gloomy at work tomorrow.

I myself was ex-military and the ranges in wales can be dangerous depending on the conditions, however sometimes unfortunately it is human error and i know the sand dune ranges in wales on the coast are one of the most dangerous when it comes to pre deployment live firing.

But despite everything RIP

Another great loss to this proud country.

I think it is incredibly sad when it happens... even more so when it is on exercise.

Sadly any live fire exercises even on controlled ranges with range control will never be without risk.

Same goes for any aspect of soldiering and in fact all of the emergency services. There are inherent risks and its tragic. Its not about what they do everyday but what they are prepared to do.

The Brecon Beacons aren't on the coast. And they've said live ammunition wasn't involved.

RIP soldiers.
