little house on the praire

Ok, so i forgot a very small thing for my new kitchen and that was to order the fridgefreezer and hob/oven. Id choosen them weeks ago but had not thought to order them. So, jay tries to order them online this morning and it kept coming up pick up only. So of he trots to currys with reference numbers and strict instructions to make sure there white. Phone call number one, they dont have either in stock, it will be 28 days wtf, but the lady is showing him alternatives, so hes trying to describe them down the phone to me. So i told him to do what he thinks best.

Phone call number two, can do an alternative cooker and hob in stainless steel but its "simple" wtf the way he described it was like it was out the ark, well it switches on and off he says, very helpful i say.

Phone call number three, no more fridgefreezers in the width i want and i had set measurements to keep to, grrrrrrr so what am i going to do. I will think about it i said.

Phone call number four, There is an almost identical cooker/hob to what i wanted but in stainless steel and he told me the make and i had looked at it so i said that would be fine. Then it dawned on me the fridgefreezer is going to be free standing so it doesnt have to be here next week so i said order the original one and i will just make do without one for 28 days.

Phone call number five, they have been ordered and both coming at the same time next week, wtf, so ive got what i wanted originally only cooker in stainless steel. So five phone calls, one agitated boyfriend, one grumpy girlfriend and a lady in the shop who must be pulling her hair out later they are ordered.

So, how was your morning?

Worksop

Not quite as bad but I emptied the fridge-freezer out this morning expecting the deliveryman to be calling with a replacement at any time.....

Been up since 0710 waiting for a phone call to say he'll be here in 30mins but as per usual, mine must be the last bloody drop on the truck...... So tell me, what's that all about?? Why can't they say what time roughly they'll be arriving??

Can you tell I'm a bit pissed off?? LOL

That's the worst thing ever - I reckon they say delivery between 7am and 5pm, spend the day in the cafe, and then do a mad rush at 4.45 to deliver everything! Has happened to me too.

ok, i have a tip for you. Work out how far roughly you are from the depot bringing your stuff, if your really close you will either be one of the first or last same as if your far away and if your in the middle be middle of the day. I use it as rule of thumb. So depending if they do nearest first or last is when you get your stuff. Got one place down to about half hour now lolxxkarenx

...plus when it innevitably goes awry .... it's the man's fault huh?

If she'd left to him in the first place he'd have simply got what was in stock and made it fit somehow.

I mean, what more do you want from an oven than for it to cook and what more do you want from a fridge than to keep things fookin cold.

Traditionally it was needed in white to match the brides outfit but in this case sky blue pink with yellow dots on would have done
