Heres a solution... get a ziplock bag fill it with water and put 4 pennys in seal and stick to the door or window.

It will stop any flys in their tracks guarenteed !!

I use fly spray. Its good exercise chasing them around the living room.

im blaming it on having all the windows open all night and the neighbours leaving beer bottles and cans out in the garden over night!!

It does work because the water refracts the reflection of the pennies and creates prisms which really messes with flys and other insects eyes ( as they have so many )
