just had Country file on the telly - they had the sweetest little piglets on there!!! It's a pity they grow cos they're gorgeous! Z

mind you - i'd get a load of bacon butties in a couple of years!

Glad to see you don't view them as pets, as I would certainly eat mine if I had them!

Must admit, I'd probably struggle to eat it if become attached but done it in the past with geese, hens etc - do love a nice bacon buttie though! Z

There were a couple of piglets at a farm I worked at and my daughter used to come up with me and go play with them................. then I came home with some gorgeous pork chops one week, erm never did explain to her where they came from she'd have been heartbroken, just told her the piggies had been moved to a new home !!!! x Raz x

aye, then £500 in vets bills, then £500 per year in food, then they get lonely so you will need at least two, figure 6/8 years lifespan, only 10 grand(ish) by the time you add odds n sods

I loved the pig i had for several years. My freinds loved her too. Once when quite a few of my mates were round for dinner they commented on how my pig had lost a leg since they'd last seen her. " I know" I said, But when you have a pig as good as her you don't eat it all at once.
