My telephone voice is very similar to the guy from the SAW movies! Works a treat with double glazing sales people.

Do you do what I do? Someone calls you at home, you finish talking then say "thanks for your call"

I even do that after I've called them

Apparently I send girls weak at the knees on the phone, unfortunately those I have met (non sexually lol) have been a little disappointed!

Yes. My kids can also tell who I'm talking to by the tone of my voice and my laughter.

I'm well spoken, as are my sisters, but on the phone and when we're together...you'd think we just stepped off the Windrush!

At some point in our conversations we'll say "how old are you?!!" before the fits of giggles resume!!!

Combined age: 141, mental age when together: 14!

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

My voice is the same in person and on the phone. Tone and context of the conversation affect the words and volume used but that's all.

Most definately have a phone voice at work, the nature of the work means that I need to sound sympathetic. It's also true of most of the partner organisations i deal with and it's a standing joke how quickly we drop the voice and revert to normal once we know who's on the other end of the line.
