smallest fine type

Ummm... anyone know the smallest file type to serve as an email attachment.

Options are bit map, JPEG, png, tif. I don't want it so small people can't read it but also don't want to send 2 emails

Bitmaps are usually the smallest as they contain the least data, then jpeg, png is rarely used, then tiff is the bigger but better quality....although all that depends on the amount of compression you apply or the data rate for bitmaps (i find below 256 it can look fairly shitty).

Im guessing this is just to view something- not looking to print it etc?
