Whickers world was the first time I saw exposed breasts on the TV. I blame him for my infatuation with them to this day.

Awwww,,,,,, thats a shame..... but at 87 and having had a full life laden with opportunity and good fortune the end of his time on this earth should be celebrated today rather than be mourned, by all but his close family and loved ones,,,

RIP...

Ahhh gone to the great departure lounge in the sky. My early childhood memories of travel were down to this very English chap RIP.

Have to admit though I thought he packed his suitcase a long while ago....ooops.

I think that’s one maybe used by Wicker and Frost,,,, although I'd attribute it more to Frost...!

Wicker is often parodied with, “And As the Sun Sinks Slowly Into the West, We Say Goodbye to……..”

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

He really was a TV legend. All the figures from my youth are now dropping off.

RIP Alan Whicker.
