Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

The overcharging of "tens of millions" on tagging people is one thing.

However, as government (past and present) has outsourced so much statutory service delivery to a handful of private sector firms how can they effectively sanction them when it will result in interruption of service delivery?

How do they know what if anything has gone on.

The government also audits and checks these things.

Oh but then there was the MPs and they're expenses though

It was an audit issue that raised the questions in the first place. Claiming for tagging dead people and those in prison.

Across the piece I can't think of many departments that don't have contracts with these particular companies. Then there's Capita and A4E with their slightly different issues.

Was it G4s that failed in providing the correct security for London 2012?

That was G4S with the Chief Exec who wasn't sure what the Queen's English was but they would be ensuring it could be spoken by all those they trained.
