What makes some last for a season and others for a life time?

Wy would we expect them to last a lifetime when we are changing so quickly?

I think they all last for a season. It just depends on the length of the season. Some are very long and don't end even after the death of one because you adapt to the new season together.

I had a funny message from a friend today. Her husband died last year. She never took his name when he was alive but now that he has gone she has changed her name to his. Their seasons changed, a lot sometimes, but they always worked to change together.

i think some people get cocksure and they think a friendship is one sided and people wont get rid as they are too good!

Honesty, trust, communication, sharing the same interests/value in life, being there through thick and thin, accepting who they are as a person and not trying to change them.

I think that when you find a relationship is not based on equality and there is one who does a lot of taking and the other is doing a lot of giving.... the relationship wont last for long?

in my experience the hook is buried well and deep and the person pulling and playing out the line knows that for sure, so on some occasions they will tease you to get a reaction, doesn't mean that the friendship is any less
