yeah i often wonder that too. Especially when other family members are told 'little white lies' to keep things acceptable to the unknown

I know I'm only here for nsa but I do have a a good friendship with one guy I meet reg, do vanilla stuff as well as swing with but still nothing will come of it as we both know where we stand and what we want....

I'm still struggling as it still sounds like boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. But then I don't see living with someone as the definition of a close, loving relationship. Although, I suppose, if you had a crisis and s/he is not the person you want to call to talk about it that clarifies it a bit. Close but not the person you turn to.

Fair enough. I think two people can enjoy sex and friendship but I think there is always a level of commitment, even if it's just to turn up when arranged, with all friendships. It's not "ownership" or even exclusivity, let alone fidelity but commitments and attachments develop. That's where I get confused.

Just my brain doing it's over-thinking.

I think because I know there's things about him that would drive me crazy, and he says the same. We like each other, we have a great drink and chat twice a month, and we have stellar sex. But if we got together and it didn't work out then what we have would be spoiled. We're both happy with the way things are now, so why change it?

My daughter knows all about him though. He's come to Greece with me and her and her boyfriend. Should be a laugh!

We've been seeing each other on and off for 7 years. We've fallen out with each other, made up, met others, had relationships with others, but in the end we're still seeing each other. Funny thing is, after our first meet I thought he didn't like me. Turns out he's just shy.

Interesting reading this thread.

I've had a few FWB, but they have all ended up wanting more in the end. So had to call them off.

Stopped looking for such an arrangement a while ago. While it would be nice, given my track record, i'm always wary.

Sorry, i know hat sounds incredibly jaded.

My FWB is also my best friend. We are there for each other 24/7 via phone and we speak daily. Harder to see him now I'm living up north. But brillaint when we get to spend quality time together.
