What was the first single that you ever purchased be that vinyl or cd if you're younger ?

For myself it was " There, there, my dear " by Dexys midnight runners in 1980 for 30p as an ex jukebox single with the centre having been knocked out.

Still a great song from a great band

Cant remember the title but it was a Buddy Holly one recorded on the old brittle type records that easily break.I bought it in 1961 the price was 1s 9d which is in todays money about 9p.Had it for about 4 yrs before it got broke.

The single was "Two Little Boys" by Rolf Harris.

Mum loved it!! My brother and I hated it and destroyed what street cred we had then!
