Since being ill and appreciating just how valuable drinking fluid is i decided to put myself on a fluid balance chart..

my intake was just over a litre a day.. OOOOPS.

It should be about 3 litres.

Do you drink enough??

that's where i decided to do my fluid balance chart. We are so rigid with giving clients fluid and documenting it, that for a day the staff decided to fill out our own charts.

It does count. Recent research found that the amount of water in a coffee is more than the diuretic effect of the caffeine.

I always thought the recommended fluid intake was 2l. That's what I aim for although I. Find this easier to do at work than at home.

At work it's about 3l of coffee and no water, at home it's reversed!

I don't drink anywhere near enough. I know I should but being out and about all day makes it difficult.
