wax or shave? advice please!

Hi, I wonder if any ladies out there could help me out with this. I tried waxing once but found it really uncomfortable and have been shaving since then. But I'm finding the shaving is making my skin feel rough, and of course it seems to grow back more wiry and coarse each time.

Should I try waxing again? Is it always that painful or does it get easier after the first time? Cheers all, Lady Joy

If you dont mind waiting while the hair grows in between waxes.... I would persist with it. I found it hurt less and less the more you get used to it.

Shaving becomes easier with use of aloe vera to ease any redness or pain x

How do you get into all the nooks and crannies though with shaving? Asking for a friend.

I am waxed all the time go to a salon have from pubes down done. I've been using a different type of waxing on the lady area called lycon. Which isn't as harsh as the wax and doesn't leave you looking like corned beef for a day. I don't shave at all now and I'm dark week before its due I have to keep legs covered lol. I go every 4 weeks

I just use a standard 'venus' type razor, plenty of shave gel, and use my fingers to keep the skin taut while shaving the delicate bits!

I will ask about the lycon, sounds like it might be a good option for a scaredy cat like me!

I shave, used to wax but having to wait for regrowth drove me nuts! I use aloe Vera gel after I shave, keeps shaving rash and rough skin at bay

p.s. I find I get a closer shave with the disposable razors (Wilkinson sword are best)

The re growth is so much slower via waxing i was done 2 weeks ago and still no show of it coming through ... I'm booked in again in 2 weeks there will be next to nothing there just enough to have it done again

Not all waxing is the same.

I'm prone to eczema and many waxes irritate my skin. The one that doesn't is pale green in colour and has tea tree oil in it.

And not all waxers are the same. Get a recommendation of someone good who's also quick.

Epilators are good for the muff area, but painful to start with but the newer ones that you can use in water are great.

Well I got sugared today by a Moroccan lady who has been used to hair removal since she was 13 .. excellent job. Less painful than waxing too. Try it.

We find you needito make sure its hot wax for intimate areas. Lots of therapists strip wax. Wax pulled off with cloth or paper strips this is really painful make sure its hotwax anyone trained by kim lawless is cool just google. Have tried it all in the past but decent wax routine has lessened hair regrowth and made it fine. Doesnt hurt now. Ps we use shaniwax smooth to the groove!

I use an epilator now shaving caused me problems, so went for the waxing options a couple of times, but got fed up with the expense. Now the epilator doesn't hurt at all

As for the NO NO i just bought one, I don't think i'd want to use it down below.

It's there job and see it every day! Go to a salon have a chat and ask if you get the same person each time... I do as only one does the full wax she's been doing it 2 years + for me now
