Winchester/London

At last in 3 weeks time a memorial will be unveiled for the 43 people who lost their lives when a tube train crashed into a bricked up tunnel at Moorgate in 1975.

It is one of those great mysteries as to what caused it ?

Documents which could possibly solve this and give some comfort to relatives are being kept secret until 2051.

One wonders if a Hillsborough style cover up occurred at the time regarding the official investigation and report ?

Does anyone who remembers this disaster have any theories as to the events which transpired ?

Yes indeed although his alcohol level was consistent with decomposition only.

Derby/Notts(Long Eaton)

I have been on foot trackside at this location which is not just an underground line but an hybrid overground line part of the Network Rail system that changes to London Underground for the last three stations. They have to change from overhead electrified pick up to third rail pick up just before going into the tunnels, who knows I am no technical expert but maybe this extra level of complication could cause a brake failure ,
