If you have never done it seriously go try it and come back and relate the experience

Mirfield

It's been quite a while since took the Landrover off the black stuff and drove on something more challenging.

er...guess

Most 'off road' vehicles never go beyond having two wheels on the pavement outside Tesco's.

And apparently you can buy 'spray on mud' to make it look like you've done something more exciting than drive up the A1 .......

FFs boys and their toys .. it's quite sad really

That's true - although I was in demand during the recent snows. On the worst day I only spotted other 4WD stuff about. So, did my good Samaritan (spelling ?) bit and got groceries for parents etc.

LOL - well it's good old hilly South Wales here - none of those big wide flat roads like the A1

Apparently you can buy something called 'makeup' to try to make you look more attractive than you really are.

As the bold Jim has already jumped on the boring old cynical bandwagon, I'd like to point out that many people don't buy 4x4s for their off-road abilities.

Their weight, and in the case of real 4x4s, their low ratio gearbox, make them excellent towcars.
