The only place you are likely to be 'in' is the local Nick. Just because you like being nakedddoesn't mean you should force viewing your naked body on others.

"Public in your own garden topless??? how can that be wrong."

Maybe you should read up on the law lol and as you are hoping your neighbours will see you you are doing it to cause shock or offence and that is illegal.

Up North

I was already caught by my neighbour this morning. It was just embarrassing. I have to see him every day.

I do have a secluded spot in my garden I can sunbathe naked unseen, I think I will stick to that.

Just because its your own garden does not mean you can prance around naked for your neighbour or their kids to see...

So topless/naked in your garden your forcing someone to look out of their window so that that can complain, think we are getting naturism mixed up with full on sex here.

If someone is offended then it becomes an offense.

Obviously if your garden is totally enclosed and they have had to make an effort to look in then that is different.

But if you are overlooked then you run the risk of problems.

No you said you were doing it in the hope that your neighbours that over look you would see. Why should they have to look out of their window yo see your widger??

Sunbath naked all you like in places where you know people can't see you. If you so it where you know you will be over looked you are doing it with intent.

Your back garden is not a dedicated matures spot tho is it. Being naked or showing genitals in public view of others is indecent exposure.

I wouldn't ever sunbathe naked anywhere but if I was a naturist them I'd go to a naturist beach

So rather than risk sending them into shock and potentially falling out of said tree,,,, I keep my man boobs covered,,,

You run the risk of getting a reputation as the person who goes naked for children to see.

In that context it stops being fun and becomes much blacker.

Unless you are confident that you are not overlooked and there is no risk of children seeing then it could be dodgy.

One of my neighbours used to sunbathe topless when I was a kid. She had a totally enclosed garden. But the kids next door had a telescope and access to the roof... Some parents would get upset by that.

I sunbathe topless in my garden. I only have a neighbour one side who has to stand in her border and look over a wall to see. She knows I enjoy lying in the sun so will always call out if she thinks I'm there. I would never lie there topless otherwise!

Because there are signs go say it's a topless area etc so people know what to expwct. People don't expect to look out of their own garden to see naked people.

Btw OP the name you gave this thread is troublesome - if you set out to show the neighbours your naked body then that is indecent exposure.

If they accidentally catch sight when you have made every attempt to be discreet in what you thought was an unseen corner of your garden then that's different.

I'd be extremely upset with the kids in this situation, you simply cannot live your life in case someones children have a telescope. Respect other people is my motto and that respect goes both ways, if my kids were looking at a topless sunbather through a telescope I'd tell them to mind their own business and concentrate on the constellations!

I am against flashing and public nudity in a sexual context in any form where peopel who don't want to see can't avoid it there is never any justifcation for that. However sunbathing quietly topless in your garden while your neighbour opens his copy of The Sun to page three is harmless surely.

Be discreet, don't lay in the middle of the lawn if you're overlooked on both sides and use a windbreak to shield you from prying eyes.

I think the OP was posting tongue in cheek and enjoying the fantasy aspect of this rather than running about with a loudspeaker announcing his nudity

the person that gets reported for exposing themselves to minors.. as while I haven't had gangbangs in my house with kids in but have had meets in the past.. having people into your house to have sex with isn't a police matter.. but I know for a fact if I went naked in my garden I would be reported rather quickly.

I would not do so if people could easily view me..

Spain, Lancs

The law was changed some years ago. You can even be naked in your front garden if you so choose.

The fault is deemed to lie with the people looking into your property.

Naturism and the Law - In Your Garden

Can you do as you please in your own garden?

If you want to wander around your garden naked and you are overlooked neighbours then you have to be careful - an Englishman's home is not quite his castle and your garden is not exempt from the law.

In an ideal world, your relationship with your neighbours would be such that they would not object to you gardening in the buff and they would never dream of calling the police.

In the real world, however, you would be well advised to take some simple precautions, including explaining to you neighbours that:

You want to sunbathe without clothes but,

You have no wish to offend or upset them

You will be discreet

You hope they have no objection.

Confining you naturism to a part of the garden which can be screened from the view will obviously solve the problem. If none of the above is possible, you will have to decide whether your desire to be naked in your garden is more important to you than being on friendly terms with those around you.

While the police may well be reluctant to become involved in a dispute between neighbours they are bound to investigate an allegation of "indecent exposure" or "outraging public decency".

If the worst happens and the Police were called, you would be advised to make it clear that all reasonable steps had been taken to prevent someone from seeing and that there was no intention to insult or to cause anyone alarm or distress.

On the other hand, no-one has the right to spy on you and if you find that your neighbour is leaning out of an upstairs window or standing on the top of a step ladder in order to see you then he or she may well be committing an offence.

taken from a naturist website and as the OP was intending on his neihbours 'catching him' i'm guessing he wont have fon to the lengths outlined above.

The fault lying with the viewee is onl applicbe of they have to go to great lengths to actualy get an eyeful, if they merely have to glance out of their bedroom window and find something offensive then the fault lies with the naked person

Hello Naughtyus mamximus.

"I can't believe that you cannot go topless on a beach without the appropriate warning signs."

exactly, it's utter nonsense.

Quote - I've heard that public nudity is legal in the UK and that I can't be arrested for nude sunbathing on an unofficial nudist beach. Is that true?

Answer: Well yes and no. Technically, there is no law against being nude in public in the United Kingdom. Simple nudity is not illegal. However, using nudity to "harass, alarm or distress" others is an offence against the Public Order Act of 1986.

In practice, this means that if you are nude, minding your own business and practicing good nude beach etiquette on a beach that is unofficial but, by common consent, considered to be a nude beach, you are unlikely to have any problem. In England and Wales, if someone - a policeman or a member of the public - asks you to cover up, you should do so or you could be arrested. To be charged, someone would have to prove that you were deliberately trying to cause offence. But in practice, refusing to cover up when asked could cause you a great deal of inconvenience.

This doe mention beaches but it is not restricted to that.

There seems to be this attitude that young children should not see naked adults, but this is due to the adults who have a problem with this. A naked body means nothing to children but if their parents or others make a fuss should this occur then that is where the child gets the feeling that there is something wrong with nudity. No wonder we have such a repressed society with perpetrating such attitudes. Remember, nudity and sex are quite separate if you have a sensible attitude.

I understand this statement is going to have some people hopping up and down but there you are, just think rationally about it.

Alec

If I position right in my garden then no one can overlook me sunbathing topless, unfortunatley the sun has shrunk my fencing pannels and there are now gaps... some are about a cm wide which my neighbours could peek through so I think il give it a miss this year!
